“Technical” Embroidered Tees

Continuing our “technical” embroidered series - we now proudly present a new set of aesthetic vehicular miniatures:

  • Toyota 70 Series Land Cruiser Pickup - White Embroidered on Black

  • Toyota 7th-Gen Hilux Pickup Embroidered - White Embroidered on Camel Tan

  • Land Rover Series IIA “Pink Panther” - Hot Pink Embroidered on White

  • Land Rover Series IIA “Pink Panther” - Blush Pink Embroidered on Watermelon Green

THE TECHNICALS

Toyota Technicals are ubiquitous with almost all modern conflicts - especially civil wars & insurgencies in the middle east.

It is particularly relevant to this Babylon-themed collection in the context of the Syrian Civil War, where it has been used by ISIL, Kurdish opposition, HTS, and many other non-state actors.

The “Pink Panther” Land Rovers were used by the British SAS for desert operations. The Pink Panthers served the SAS from 1968 to 1984, primarily in Oman and Yemen, during operations against communist rebels.

The pink color was not a random choice. Extensive research indicated that the pink shade provided excellent camouflage in desert conditions, particularly during the early morning and late evening hours.

We have two color options for you - both historically documented. A light “blush pink” and a saturated “hot pink.” You can observe real-life examples of these here.

THE PATTERNS

Both M81 Woodland and Desert Tiger Stripe (DTS) have a history of being used in middle east conflicts.

M81 was standard issue on some uniforms and equipment at the beginning of OEF (2001) and OIF (2003) and continues to be issued to Green Berets & MARSOC.

Desert Tiger Stripe has been issued on a very limited basis; almost exclusively to the CIA’s Ground Branch unit.

DTS is a special camo to the owner of WRMFZY - it was his pattern of choice during multiple deployments as a Special Operations JTAC supporting Ground Branch in Afghanistan. Our collab series with WRMFZY in this pattern continues to reflect the owner’s personal history with the camo.

“BABYLON” RESORT SETS

The Resort Sets from this “Babylon Blues” collection contain the essence of ancient warfare & opulence of the fertile crescent region.

Our design team meticulously re-created motifs and patterns from Mesopotamian antiquity to bring you the following three colorways.

  • Chariot Ivory - a depiction of charioteer warfare from the Assyrian Empire, along with regal pattern embellishments of the period.

  • Sargon Bronze - a depiction of Sargon of Akkad who ruled over the Akkadian Empire. He is often described as the first person in recorded history to rule over an empire.

  • Ishtar Blue - design lifted directly from the blue Ishtar Gate of Babylon built by Nebuchadnezzar II of the Neo-Babylonian Empire.

To preserve the integrity of the artwork on these pieces, our production team cut the fabric panels specifically so that the artworks line up on the seams and breaks.

In contrast to the WRMFZY Camo Shorts above (which are Mk. II) these are the Mk I EDC short.

The Mk. I features cotton twill stretch construction for a soft, comfort material for lounging, going out on the town. Belt loops are also present for carrying.
